Double Bass Recitals |
Dr. Machado will be giving a recital in Hattiesburg on March 23, 2007 including pieces of Bottesini, Beintus, Amato, and Proto. |
| Dr. Machado will be performing in Meridian on April 12, 2007 accompanied by Theresa Sanchez. | |
| Dr. Machado was on tour on South America during the months of June and August. Among many performances was the South American premiere of Frank Proto's "Nine Variants on Paganini" with the Porto Alegre Symphony Orchestra in Brazil. | |
| Dr. Machado gave the opening recital of the III Encontro de Musica e Pesquisa in Maringa-Brazil. | |
| Dr. Machado performed a guest recital at Nichols University in Louisiana on September 26th 2006. | |

Music Festivals |
In November 2006 Dr. Machado was faculty at the Unisinos International Music festival in Brazil. |

New Music for the Double Bass |
There are a few pieces being written for Dr. Machado by Brazilian composers, among them Felipe Adami and Julio Herrlein. |
